Punta
Cana Wedding Resorts
Every hotel in Punta Cana claims to be an
allinclusive wedding resort and will happily
book your group and promise to deliver the
wedding of your dreams. In reality, there
are certain hotels that do a much better job
of Caribbean weddings than others. The last
thing you want is to become the resort's dress
rehearsal for their foray into Caribbean destination
weddings.
Here’s the list of the resorts that
we book most of our weddings in Punta Cana
with. There are several others that do a good
job as well. Just ask
one of our planners and they’ll
steer you toward the best resort for your
Punta Cana beach wedding.
Free
Punta Cana Wedddings
There are NO free Punta Cana weddings even
though you’ll see it advertised on almost
every Travel Agency website out there. There
is always a catch and something written into
the fine print about mandatory room upgrades
that would cost as much as any wedding package.
On average, wedding packages start at about
$1500 including the ceremony, legal fees,
the reception and some photography. Buying
Punta Cana wedding packages can be like buying
a car – you can customize them any way
you want and the extras often cost more than
the package.
Wedding
Resorts Incentives
Most resorts do offer some sort of incentive
to have couples book their wedding group at
their PuntaCana wedding resort. For example,
with Majestic Colonial weddings they will
pay for your wedding package ($2000) if you
book a minimum of 15 rooms for the equivalent
of 7 nights.
Bahia Principe weddings and Grand Paradise
Bavaro offer us every 20th person free and
will upgrade the bride and groom to another
section of the hotel.
When you book your wedding with us we’ll
steer you through all the incentive programs
and see which works best for you and your
group.
Documents
required for your Punta Cana beach wedding.
They do make it relatively easy for tourists
to get married in Punta Cana and yes the marriage
is legal and recognized anywhere in the world.
There are a few documents to fill out and
have translated into Spanish then legalized
and stamped at your closest Dominican Embassy.
Once the documents are filled out we ask
all our clients to fax them to us so we can
examine them and we send them off to the hotel.
We just like to ensure that there will be
no surprises for our couples when they arrive
at the resort.
A blood test is not currently required
to get married in Punta Cana.
Remember that even though we’ve sent
copies of your documents to the hotel you
still need to bring the originals
along with you.
Minimum stay required to get married in Punta
Cana. There used to be a regulation that couples
must be in the country for 3 days before their
Punta Cana wedding. This regulation was taken
away in 2007 and there is no longer
any mandatory minimum stay.
Warning #1:
Most of the resorts do insist that you be
at their hotel for a full day before the ceremony
to give you time to meet with their wedding
coordinator on site. Check with our planners
to make sure your arrival date and wedding
dates are OK.
Warning #2:
Punta Cana wedding dates start to disappear
a year in advance. The biggest mistake you
can make is booking the hotel before reserving
your wedding date. Check with our planners.
